On May 12, the staff of the Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS in Almaty actively discussed their participation in the upcoming republican referendum on the adoption of amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree on holding a republican referendum on the adoption of amendments and additions to the Constitution on June 5. "Now we have reached the finish line of the implementation of the constitutional reform. Amendments to the Basic Law are, in fact, of crucial importance for our country. The changes will affect a third of the articles of the Constitution. To put it bluntly, our Constitution will get a whole new dimension. Therefore, I proposed to submit this issue to a republican referendum, because such large-scale changes should be carried out on the basis of the popular will," the president stressed.
The participants of the meeting unanimously noted that this is the most important event in the life of the republic, which will allow every citizen to be involved in the future of Kazakhstan. They also called on all Kazakhstanis to take an active part in the referendum for the sake of the future of our country.
