Rapid HIV testing

On March 11, doctors from the Center for Prevention and Control of AIDS in Almaty conducted rapid HIV testing in two teams in the city.

To students of Almaty Technological University

  epidemiologist J. Aruova and assistant E. Hvan delivered lectures on HIV prevention. The participants learned about the ways of HIV transmission, protective measures, the need for a responsible attitude to their own health and the health of loved ones. After the lecture, 66 students underwent rapid HIV testing and found out their status.                                              In JSC "Temirzholsu-Almaty" a mini-training was conducted by epidemiologist G. Bekbosynov and assistant G. Zhubulova. Doctors spoke about the need to comply with preventive measures against HIV, as well as about testing. The participants had many questions, to which the staff of the AIDS Center gave detailed answers. On that day, 31 employees of the joint-stock company underwent rapid HIV testing.
