Working meeting with deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan

            On February 21, 2022, the Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS was visited by deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Chairman of the Committee for Socio-Cultural Development Nurmanbetova Jamila Nusupzhanovna and member of the Committee for Socio-Cultural Development Pavlovets Larisa Pavlovna. As well as deputy of the maslikhat of Nur-Sultan, rector of the University "Turan-Astana" Dzhaparova Gulzhamal Alkenovna and First Deputy Chairman of the Saryarkinsky district branch of the Nur Otan party of Nur-Sultan Alimgazina Baglan Auganbayevna.

           During the meeting, explanatory work was carried out among the staff of the AIDS Center following the results of the extraordinary XXI Congress of the People's Democratic Party "Nur Otan" on January 28, 2022. The deputies of the Mazhilis spoke about the upcoming modernization and optimization of the party structure.

During the meeting, the deputies got acquainted with the laboratory service of the Center, looked at the equipment with new HIV diagnostics equipment, and also discussed problematic issues in the activities of AIDS Centers, one of which is the timely delivery of ARV drugs by a single distributor of SK-Pharmacy LLP. The question of increasing the amount of social benefits for registered patients with HIV infection was voiced by the Life in Spite Of. The issue was transferred to the deputy of the Maslikhat of the city of NurSultan Dzhaparova Gulzhamal Alkenovna for further consideration. Currently, the amount of the benefit does not exceed 14 thousand tenge quarterly.
