The results of work with the Blood Center have been summed up

On February 8, online doctors of the AIDS Center in Almaty discussed the results of work over the past year with colleagues from the city blood center and transfusiologists of medical organizations.

The discussion focuses on the prevention of HIV transmission through blood and other biological fluids, organs and tissues. Participants noted an increase in the number of donors tested for HIV compared to the previous year. To improve the efficiency of the work, the doctors of the AIDS Center conduct seminars for the doctors of the Blood Center, provide methodological assistance. One of the ways to improve the quality of work is to strengthen control over the selection of donors.

One of the urgent issues is the monitoring of recipients. Its indicators have improved compared to last year.

The participants discussed problematic issues – timeliness of reports, clarity of documentation.
