For World Leprosy Day

On January 28, within the framework of the World Leprosy Day, a scientific-practical seminar "Dermatovenereology and leprology today" was held online at KSCDIZ.

The participants were welcomed by the Director of KSCDIZ Asylkhan Abishev, who noted the relevance of the topic under discussion, the importance of disease prevention and the role of scientific innovations in supporting patients with leprosy.

Leading specialists of KSCDIZ made presentations at the seminar, including M. Seytaliev - head of the State Institution "Kazakh Republican Leprosarium", S. Ospanova - head of the department of postgraduate education of KSCDIZ, candidate of medical sciences, member of EADV, Z. Sukhanberdiyeva - dermatovenereologist, member of EADV, A Iskakova - dermatovenereologist, methodologist, A. Arinova - dermatovenereologist, podologist.Participants discussed topical issues: The current state of the fight against leprosy in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the world. Features of management of patients with chronic dermatoses. Criteria for prescribing drug therapy for infantile hemangiomas. Possibilities of dermoscopy in the management of dermatoses. Podological solutions in dermatovenereology.
