Almaz Sharman (born 1960, Ulytau, Karaganda region) is an American medical scientist of Kazakh origin, a specialist in biomedical and medico-demographic research, international health and hospital management, a member of the American Health Association.

Almaz Toregeldievich Sharman developed a methodology for studying the prevalence of HIV infection using a nationally representative sample, which allowed the UN to revise the scale of the pandemic, reducing the estimated number of HIV-infected people in the world by 7 million. Under his leadership, the prevalence of anemia among women and children was studied in a number of countries, which formed the basis for the development of national programs to combat anemia and in the field of reproductive health. The scientist worked at Johns Hopkins University, and in Kazakhstan headed the National Medical Holding and worked as one of the heads of Nazarbayev University, where he was engaged in the development of an integrated academic health system of the university. Almaz Sharman is the president of the Academy of Preventive Medicine of Kazakhstan, as well as co-founder and head of the network of clinics HealthCity in Almaty.
